SISA announces Declare-it 4.0 with major innovations and enhancements in the Swiss customs software, offering SISA customers increased efficiency and additional security. SISA CEO Roland Schumacher opened the Solution Day with the statement: "Declare-it 4.0 is the most comprehensive and largest release in years and at the same time shows the strategic direction for the future of Declare-it".

Afterwards, Jürg Zellmeyer, Product Manager Declare-it and long-standing customs specialist, first presented the changes at Swiss customs. "The FCA is currently undergoing a fundamental transformation," he explained, "but there is still little up-to-date information on the DaziT IT project. Concrete implementation dates and the implementation procedure remain non-binding". SISA is in close contact with the FCA and associations such as SpedlogSwiss and Swiss ShippersCouncil, in order to nevertheless act in a future-oriented manner at an early stage and support the new procedures with Declare-it.

Zellmeyer then presented the new features of Declare-it 4.0, a version ready for the customs administration's electronic accompanying documents and eCom. As an important 4.0 innovation he presented the new SISA BI. This business intelligence tool offers a holistic analysis of Swiss customs data and enables the management to make detailed analyses and insights based on big data. In addition, the integration of electronic customs documents (Digital Dossier) and compliance has been further improved in the new version. A large number of enhancements and new functions provide the user with more convenience and efficiency.

In six topic-specific workshops, the participants were able to gain valuable insights into specific customs topics and SISA products. Declare-it Dutax, the latest version of the EAD software Dutax V1.13 was presented. It includes many new features such as the upload of the customs invoice via OCR (Optical Character Recognition) or the extension of the preference calculation.

Further workshops were dedicated to the SISA Digital Dossier, the solution for customs requirements for an ICS (internal control system) and eCommerce integration. Again, customs knowledge based on practical examples was a very popular topic. " Frequently crucial details make the declarant's work much easier," says Jürg Zellmeyer. "We would therefore like to share the many years of experience of SISA customs specialists with SISA customers".

Finally, Roland Schumacher showed the future-oriented development of Declare-it. "The 5 areas: standardization, security, efficiency, integration and mobile applications are the strategic engines for the further development of Declare-it". And Schumacher continued, "this emphasizes our commitment to continuously and promptly provide SISA customers with all the requirements of the customs authorities in Declare-it and thus ensure that all Declare-it users have a high degree of security for the future and the best possible efficiency in customs processing".

The subsequent aperitif allowed the more than 100 participants from industry, trade and freight forwarding a lively exchange of ideas and experience among themselves and with SISA specialists.
